Exploring Unseen. Step into Primeval forest Perućica and feel the adrenaline of Hrčavka canyoning

Welcome to the Sutjeska National Park. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting around 6 pm. We will get to know each other better at the meeting with a welcome drink and hand you the room keys.

If you have come to the Tjentište, then it is inevitable that you visit the Memorial Complex of the Battle of the Sutjeska which is seen from the main road. This complex is built in memory of one of the most difficult and bloodiest battles of World War II in which Partisan forces engaged against joint German-Italian and quisling troops in this area.

Dinner is planned for 8 pm in the restaurant of national cuisine “Komlen”.

After breakfast by 8:00 a.m., you will meet your mountain guide and driver and head to the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint, which is also one of the entrances to the oldest rainforest reserve in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Before we go into the heart of the rainforest, we will visit two viewpoints (Beškita and Dragoš sedlo), where one of the most beautiful views offered by the Perućica rainforest will open, to the Skakavac waterfall, which falls from 70 m and is one of the highest waterfalls in the country, as and the surrounding mountains. This a good opportunity to think again if you are ready to set foot in the jungle ☺. After taking photos and sightseeing from the viewpoints, we will start our descent into the heart of the rainforest.

The trail is about 8-9 km long. It starts from the pass – lookout Dragoš Sedlo, and goes into the heart of the primeval forest, leading us through different zones of forest populations and ages, across small and large streams with numerous natural obstacles and unique scents of flora. The trail takes us through the heart of the primeval forest to the pass Tunjimir from where we go down to the canyon of the stream Suški potok which finally takes us to the Sutjeska Canyon. We often have the privilege to meet the wild inhabitants of the primeval forest in their habitat, following the traces that the mysterious inhabitants leave behind.

The scene and sounds of this place are ideal for lunch in nature, followed by a return to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will pack the canyoning equipment and take seats in our vehicle to get a ride for one hour to the most beautiful place in Bosnia, Sutjeska National Park & Zelengora mountain. After we arrive at Hrcavka canyon, we will prepare you for the adrenaline adventure with detailed instructions on how to behave in the canyon and the equipment used.

Once the adventure starts, adrenaline will not be lacking for the next 3 to 4 hours. We decedent down the Hrcavka canyon and waterfall, rappelling 4 kilometers to the exit place, the village of Tođevac. Here we will overcome numerous obstacles, rocks, and natural pools. You will slide, swim, jump, and run. In certain moments we will also use rappelling equipment.

Since canyoning is an extreme sport that requires a large amount of energy, we will take a break halfway through the canyon in order to replenish our energy with energy drinks, dried fruits, and chocolates and successfully overcome all the obstacles that follow. After leaving the canyon in the village of Tođevac, a car will be waiting for us to return to the accommodation for a shower and lunch.
