Itinerary

Arrive at the airport at the arranged time and meet with a guide. We will have a short transfer to Budva – the ‘capital’ of the Montenegrin coast. It is the best place for nightlife and at the same time the most developed town on our coast.  Budva’s riviera is 25 km long with rocky, pebbly, and sandy beaches. Budva also has an old town, 3500 years old. We will enjoy a welcoming drink beside the seaside with a beautiful view of the island of Saint Nikolas and after going on a walking tour in Budva’s old town with a guide. Free time for lunch after the tour and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy leisure on the beach or at your hotel’s swimming pool, spa center, etc. Overnight.

After a tasty Mediterranean breakfast, one hour transfer to Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro. This amazingly beautiful time will give you an impression of time travel. Stone houses, paved streets, quietness, and slowness of life… The town becomes a town – a museum with perfectly persevered buildings and artifacts in them. Here you will be able to visit the Museum/House of King Nikolas and hear stories about the first feminism happening in Montenegro. We will go through all the private rooms of the king and his daughters. After this, we head to a one-of-its-kind – Austro-Hungarian relief military map used in the 1st World War. Here you will understand how and why Montenegro (Black Mountain) got its name. After this, we will head to the top of Lovcen Mountain, one of Montenegrin’s 5 national parks where the highest mausoleum in the world is situated. The mausoleum was made for the most famous ruler of Montenegro and writer, Petar Petrovic II Njegos. We will climb around 450 steps to the top where the mausoleum is.  The view of Kotor bay and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking. Transfer to a local farm/household where you will enjoy homemade lunch with local ingredients, grown on the owners’ farm, and try their local wine and rakija – local shot. In the late afternoon, transfer back to Budva – around 1h long.

After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel, and have a short transfer to Kotor. Here you will enjoy a city tour of this UNESCO-protected old town with amazing architecture. Free time in Kotor after a tour and continuation to Perast, a medieval town bursting with a rich history. In its glorious days, it had a big shipyard and maritime school to which even Russian nobles sent their sons. Visit the artificial island Our Lady of the rocks and visit the catholic church on the island. After a short taxi boat transfers back to Perast, you can enjoy your free time for coffee or a glass of wine by the sea and with an amazing view of Kotor bay. We will say goodbye to Kotor bay and Perast and head to Herceg Novi to the family farm for a homemade national dishes lunch – you will try local olives and olive oil, great cheese, local ham, etc. After lunch, we will have 1h transfer to Trebinje in Bosnia. End of tour in Montenegro.

INCLUDED: 2 overnights in hotel 4* with BB, 2 lunches in private farms with wine tasting, licensed guide for 3 days, private minivan for max 7 or for max 25 pax with private driver, Budva tour, Cetinje tour with entrance tickets ( museum, map, national park, mausoleum), Kotor tour with all entrance tickets (old town, taxi boat ticket, island ticket), welcoming drink

After breakfast in Trebinje, you will head towards the Sutjeska National Park. After around 1.5h driving, you will reach the oldest and largest national park in our country.

Numerous scientists and researchers have written about Sutjeska, many reportages have been recorded, and countless words have been spoken, but this extraordinarily beautiful and interesting area always remains an unfinished, untold, miraculous fairy tale about nature, people, and history. No matter how hard you try, it is impossible to describe the depth and beauty of the feelings experienced on these occasions. It simply has to be experienced.

Through this tour, you will get to know the historical monuments that are an extremely valuable part of Sutjeska National Park. If you have come to the Tjentište, then it is inevitable that you visit the Memorial Complex of the Battle of the Sutjeska which is seen from the main road. This complex is built in memory of one of the most difficult and bloodiest battles of World War II in which Partisan forces engaged against joint German-Italian and quisling troops in this area.

After lunch, we’ll also stop at the park’s most precious jewel. Never fully explored and the largest natural reserve of its kind in Europe, Perućica Primeval Forest proves to be a real challenge for all botanists as it has been inaccessible for decades. The Beškita and Dragoš Sedlo viewpoints are around 10 kilometers away from Tjentište. A fantastic view of Perućica Primeval Forest and the Valley of Heroes in Tjentište spreads out in front of us among several plateaus connected by a path. The vantage grounds are located at an altitude of about 1.300 meters. We can also see Skakavac Waterfall from here, beautifully formed from the mountain creek in the Perućica Rainforest. It is one of the highest waterfalls in the country at about 75 meters. On the other side of this hill-encircled valley, the rocky cliffs of Volujak suddenly rise: on the left, the highest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglić, and on the right, the peaks of Zelengora can be seen in the distance across Sutjeska Canyon.

In Prijevor, we’ll also find some of the oldest elements of the material and spiritual culture of this region. Three Katuns are available for accommodation during the summer months. Dinner, overnight.

After a homemade breakfast in front of the Katun, we set out to conquer the highest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglić.

From the Prijevor, Maglić looks impressive. Maglić Mountain, the magnificent giant, is full of steep and rugged cliffs. Even in summer months, it is interspersed with snow that never melts. The trailhead here from Prijevor is also the shortest route to the Maglić summit, directly up its scenic northwest face. From Prijevor, it’s a challenging mountain hike to the highest summit of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Conquering Bosnia’s highest peak is challenging but enchanting, and at the end of this glorious journey, we can take a much-deserved break for a lunch to contemplate the wonders we saw. Still undiscovered by the masses, Maglić is a perfect hideaway for passionate hikers and mountaineers. Enjoy the view!

We end an exciting and adrenaline-filled day at the most beautiful lake in the Balkans, Trnovačko lake, towards which we slowly descend. One look at the lake’s heart shape will be enough to fall in love at first sight. The feeling will be even stronger when you pay attention to its amazing emerald color.

Returning from the lake to Prijevor, and then by vehicle to Tjentište, where we will have dinner and sleep.

After breakfast until 8 am, you will meet your mountain guide and driver, and together you will head to the unreal green landscapes characteristic of Ireland, localized on our beauty Zelengora.

Throughout this tour, we will visit 2 lakes – Donje Bare, Gornje Bare, and viewpoint Borić. These lakes are a true oasis for lovers of nature. The surrounding untouched environment provides magnificent views from the glittering water.

On the way to the mountain eyes, lakes Gornje and Donje Bare, we will pass through the canyon of the river Hrčavka, where the most demanding adrenaline activity on the territory of Sutjeska National Park, canyoning, is realized. We planned this activity for the next day. 😊 We will also visit the memorial from World War II dedicated to the national hero Sava Kovacevic.

At the crossroads, we will replace the ride with walking and head slightly uphill towards the Gornje Bare lake hidden at the foot of the Uglješin peak. From the lake itself, there are incredible views of the green pastures of Zelengora after which it got its name, as well as the peaks of Planinica and the ridge Tovarnica. In the same way, we return to the fork and in the other direction, we reach lake Donje Bare. On this lake near the mountain house, we will rest and have lunch.

Donje Bare certainly ranks among the park’s most special lakes. It was, and is, a memorial to the fallen Partisans who fended off a larger and stronger German army during the Second World War. It was here, at this pristine watering hole for the park’s abundant wildlife, that Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito had a mountain house built. Its remains are visible even today near the mountain lodge.

After visiting the lake with a light half-hour walk, we reach the Borić lookout point, which is considered to be the “and” in “Bosnia and Herzegovina” :). The name itself has its roots in the Pine tree, and from the lookout point, there is an unforgettable view of the largest peaks of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglić and Volujak, as well as the largest jewel of our country, the Perućica rainforest. The scene and sounds of this place are ideal for lunch in nature, followed by a return to our accommodation at Tjentište for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will pack the canyoning equipment and take seats in our vehicle to get a ride for one hour to the most beautiful place in Bosnia, Sutjeska National Park & Zelengora mountain. After we arrive at Hrcavka canyon, we will prepare you for the adrenaline adventure with detailed instructions on how to behave in the canyon and the equipment used.

Once the adventure starts, adrenaline will not be lacking for the next 3 to 4 hours. We decedent down the Hrcavka canyon and waterfall, rappelling 4 kilometers to the exit place, the village of Tođevac. Here we will overcome numerous obstacles, rocks, and natural pools. You will slide, swim, jump, and run. In certain moments we will also use rappelling equipment.

Since canyoning is an extreme sport that requires a large amount of energy, we will take a break halfway through the canyon in order to replenish our energy with energy drinks, dried fruits, and chocolates and successfully overcome all the obstacles that follow. After leaving the canyon in the village of Tođevac, a car will be waiting for us to return to the accommodation for a shower and lunch.

Around 16:00 after lunch, you continue towards Sarajevo.

Sarajevo walking tour and time to explore the old parts of Sarajevo and city centre.
