Watery Tours. Tara canyon rafting

Welcome to our camp. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting around 6 pm. We will get to know each other better at the meeting with a welcome drink and hand you the room keys.

At 8 p.m., dinner is planned in our ethnic restaurant.

After breakfast until 8:00 a.m., there is the packing of the equipment for the exciting rafting down the Tara river canyon (neoprene suit, neoprene boots, safety helmet, safety vest, and paddle) and your personal belongings in the off-road vehicles, which you will need for the next two nights spent on two locations when passing through the deepest canyon in Europe with a length of about 80 km!

In the next 2 and a half hours via Trsa and Žabljak, and right next to the bridge on the Đurđevića Tara, we arrive at the town of Šljivansko, more precisely Splavište, from where, after preparing the boats and wearing the complete rafting equipment, we begin our three-day rafting adventure through the Tara canyon.

The first rafting section stretches from Žabljak to Radovan Luka in a length of 30 km, and it will take us 4 hours to complete it. During the descent, we will take breaks for swimming, rest, and lunch.

In this first rafting section, we will pass by the Žugić port, the Mušović spring, the Lazin stone, the place where Tara is the deepest and narrowest, as well as the most attractive water course in the Balkans, the Ljutica river, which, due to the huge flow of water, is sparkling and white throughout its 150 m course. Our port for this day will be the “Radovan Luka” motel, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast at 10km, we go rafting on the other side of the Tara River to Brštanovica.

The second section passes through the most beautiful part of the Durmitor National Park. The Tara River in this part of the course is the calmest, but also the most beautiful. Right by the village of Tepca, which we pass by, the canyon is the deepest, and the only way out of the canyon is the river road and a boat. We will pass by Bajlović sig, which, like a waterfall, is fed from a cave called Bučevica, and as we have already mentioned, the only way to approach it is by the river.

After approximately 4 hours of driving, we arrive at the Brštanovica camp, where we will have a full board with accommodation in bungalows.

After breakfast, from 10 o’clock there will be the last, but most attractive raft section on Tara. It stretches for about 20 km, i.e. from Brštanovica to Šćepan Polje. The time of the descent itself is variable and depends on several factors, the main of which is the height of the water level, which is lower as the season progresses, and as a result, the rafting is longer and can last three or more hours.

During the rafting, we will take breaks for swimming and photography and visit the coldest tributary of the Tara River, Šipčanica. At the end of the rafting, at Šćepan Polje, we get into the jeeps and go back to the camp for a shower and lunch. After lunch, since we have no additional activities, your arrangement ends.
